December Newsletter
Hello friends,
It’s still autumn, but it sure feels like winter over here in upstate, NY! The magic of snow has arrived and I couldn’t be feeling more grateful and cozy for the hibernation season. It’s not time for hibernation quite yet though. I have lots of exciting holiday markets coming up this month, and I hope to see some of you there! It has been busy as usual. Doing lots of restocking of products, making new art for my shop update, planning some bigger projects for next year, and much more. My partner and I also had a fun Thanksgiving with our families, and ate so much wonderful food! It’s always crazy to me how fast Hanukkah and Christmas come along right after. I never feel prepared! Life is always a whirlwind of events, so I’m hoping we all get some proper relaxation during our holiday breaks. Sometimes prioritizing your mental health is the best way to show up for your loved ones during this often stressful time.

🕊️ 💌 December Patreon Mail Rewards 💌🕊️
The Patreon quarterly mail rewards are here! This one was inspired by the rock doves/common pigeons that perch on our neighbors roofs. I love how they all huddle together, and fluff up their feathers when it’s cold and windy outside! They’re just too cute! Pigeons are often nicknamed “rats of the sky” because many see them as pests. There is certainly a lot of misguided hatred towards these birds. Maybe because they’re noisy and poop on everything, or they harbor bad bacteria, but can’t you say that about most wild animals? After a bit of research, I learned that pigeons are actually quite fascinating! They may have been one of the first domesticated birds. They have excellent navigation skills, and are fast fliers, which is why they were once used as mail carriers. They are experts in facial recognition and can recognize themselves, as well as other animals. So next time you see a pigeon, send it some love from afar. ❤️
